A busy Saturday. Hadn't seen Brian in quite a while.

Watkins Mill, all the way around counter-clockwise. I managed to beat 10 min/km overall. I walked the first km, then tried to do 2 minute runs, alternating with 2 minute walks, the next three km. And I did, except for one that was all uphill, when I had to catch my breath after about 1.5 minutes. The last two I did one to 1. 5 runs with longer walks. During these last two laps, I realized that, although posture stayed good, I was landing on my entire foot while running. So I focused on a mid-foot strike to lessen the friction. Really tired when I finished, but my VO2 max has increased from 29 to 30. It has been 29 like forever.

A hard workout day. A bit sore this morning in the midsection from yoga yesterday. On round 5, we were to get at least 200 donkey kicks on the wrecking ball, and I did 240.

Stretch & Strengthen. Two different intervals for core, then legs. After that, more traditional yoga stretching. No one-legged stuff tonight, so I did well.

I went to Mack Porter and planned on one time around warmup, then 4 sets of 2minute run, 1 minute walk. During the first run segment, I realized this wasn't going to happen, so I repeated last Thursday's, with 4 sets of 1.5 minute run, then 1.5 minute walk, then the cool down.

Today's CHOW was challenging. Alternate rear leg lunges while passing a 1-lb kettlebell under the forward leg, followed by two shin kicks on the bag. I did 27. There was a balance component there. My fenix claimed my MHR was 142.

I went out to pick blueberries, then to the garden for what's there--beans, cucumbers, shishito peppers, raspberries, and tomatoes. While picking the beans, I came across the neighbor's turkey. We hadn't seen it in about a week, and had been hoping a coyote got it. Anyway, it was stuck in the northwest corner, and couldn't figure out how to get out of there. So, I went to the other side and picked tomatoes. When I got back, the turkey was trying to get out of the southwest corner, and not being successful. Finally, I picked up one of my movable stakes and after about ten minutes got it headed towards the open gate. That raised my pulse rate.

Elray and I walked all of the main loop at Jesse James. We only saw three other people and no dogs. I let meander and sniff a lot, since it is a semi-rest day for me.
