It must have been the Ali shuffles with punches that got my heart rate up too high. This was crazy. I felt pretty tired by the end of the workout.

Kept me going the whole time. Mostly in the yellow until the last round which was major core, still a bit sore from yoga last night.

A lot of jumping jacks today, plus a good sparring session with Heather. I felt a bit tired, but after the workout, I had a massage. Wonderful. And then only a few blocks to Trader Joe's, so I had to go there.

We did some new stuff today, early, since school in Liberty was canceled for the Super Bowl parade. For the agility drills, I was tethered with a bungee-type cord and did shuffling and running in different directions. We also did some compound moves which taxed the brain as well as lots of different muscles. The most complex was lunging back, then stepping up and raising the knee while pulling back on the cable machine with the arm. It took a few reps to get the form correct.

Pretty much alternating aerobic and anaerobic intensities. After my workout, I stopped at Breathe Deep and got my ticket for the wine and chocolate trolley on Saturday. Such fun last year.

Stretch & Strengthen. Some of the Strengthen portion was pretty aerobic tonight. Lots of lunges and leg work, after the core work.

Not a busy gym this morning. The CHOW on Round 7 was two shin kicks and jump over the cone. I did 44. It was hard. We did lots of ab tucks on Round 9. That was also hard.

Power walk at Jesse James, because Mack Porter was closed. I did the main trail, including the east loop, just walking fast, including a couple of pretty steep hills. I also picked some dandelions, which I fed to Harvey when I got home. The fenix told me I was impacting both aerobic and anaerobically, so that's good. Yesterday it told me I was overreaching aerobically, which is why I graded down a bit.

Watkins Mill. Best time since last year's training for the half. Wet and sloppy in places, and the last km had an area of slippery ice that slowed me down. My km times were approx. 9:10, 9:20, 9:30, 9:20, 9:20, and 9:40. I have had some attitude adjustment, and I really enjoyed my training today.
