Wow! A real course at Fleming Park, with controls. I did the middle course, and it was no gimmee. The good part is that my navigation was mostly good. Although I was a bit off and wandered on 3, and went a bit far north on 7, I was still in the ballpark on both. The other good thing is that I did all this climb, and felt good throughout. Good breathing. I carried a trekking pole, but couldn't keep it adjusted correctly (note to self: read the directions, and practice first) and lost several minutes getting all put back together. Also lost a bit of time two or three times because of congestion on trails or by controls, and I didn't want to get close to anyone. Overall, I feel pretty good today about the course--nothing stupid except for not practicing with the trekking pole. Very rough out there, and I spent a lot of time picking off sticky seeds.
After picking up lunch at Chicken 'n Pickle, and bringing it home and eating, Bob and I went out and put up the first part of the eave on my playhouse. That was both scary and exciting. Then I did the spreadsheet stuff, and now I am really tired.
