orienteering1:01:55 [4] 9.05 km (6:50 / km)
Ballsed up 3 by like 1.5mins, consequently panicked and ballsed up 4 by about 4.5mins, saw Helen here and panicked again and ran off in the wrong direction, another 2mins, so went back to the control and got my head together eventually. Julie caught me at 9 and so I got my race head on and pushed on trying to get away from her, unfortunately my banana-ing/faffyness meant she was always there (but apparently I looked like I floated in the terrain, and my bum looked good from behind so). Disappointed to say the least, but what can you do
One of those runs where you hope you will loosen off eventually, but I never did. Need to do some serious rolling/stretching and Grant will put me together again on Friday :)

WRE middle at Bonskeid. To make my middle apprehension worse I was given a GPS tracker (cryin)- a must see, it'll be a giggle. Lovely area and a great course though!:) Faffy through the green to 2 and lost a lot of time to 3 in the green- I thought the depressions was on a hill top so ran past the line of them. 5 lost another minute by faffing on the crags above, realised eventually I should have been closer to the fence- also not the best route choice. 8 I wasted 90secs as I wasn't looking at my compass at all and drifted into the marsh and got v v confused. Going into 8 Fay had caught me and so the faffyness stopped and the pace picked up as we pushed eachother through it (she was absolutely flying #beast!!!!). Panicked at the route choice to 20 as I was getting away from Fay so didn't really look at the options so tried to contour= v v difficult clambering over shite and not knowing where I was at all, wasting a lot of time (path option was ideal). Overshot 21 as a lot of people came into 20 so tried too hard to get away and I was confused at the veg boundary. Then contoured to the final control when just should have dropped to the path?! So just how middle goes for me. When Fay was with me I was able to switch on racing mode and just go for it and actually do alright (like on the Scottish day 4), so I need to do this when I'm on my own and be confident! #iwillgetthere
