Note

Just been taking it easy for Sunday and feel SO ready to get up the hills... cannot come quick enough- feel good :)
9 AM

x-training 1:00:00 [3]

Trying out my new gym in Troutbeck. Really good facilities considering where I am- and am really looking forward to getting back in the gym!! Cross trainer passed the test- it’ll do the job :). No pool unless I drive to Kendal so AJ will have to be off the schedule (unless I get injured!.) :o

W21L day 4 Lakes Askham Fell
First two I had to remind myself how a compass worked (about 90s wasted here...) and then after that I got more confident with pinging round, sometimes pretty offline wasting time but really enjoyed pelting it round and nice to open the legs out!! Feel fast and was a fast area was SO fun! Big mistake at the 23 in the hedges where it was all very confusing and wasted like a minute, but so did everyone hahaha...managed the win! #punter

Note

Wanted to do some prancing but haven’t got time to get round to it. Looking forward to getting into a routine soon..

cycling 1:50:00 [2]

~45k?? From campsite in Hawkshead over Grizedale, then back up the right side of Coniston before heading through Ambleside to Rydal where mum was swimming with Purkos mum :’). Absolutely LOVED life- super sunny and a lovely undulating route...massive smile the whole way round. Had lunch at my new workplace, the Apple Pie cafe after... Feel so at home here, literally cannot wait to move here permanently in 10 days :o.

Bumbled round day 3 w21 of the lakes 5. Many mistakes including a wrong control (wasn’t checking numbers, and ran to the first control I could see in the area around where mine was...) but frickin loved it and felt good on when I was running on the paths :)

running 1:20:00 [2] 12.0 km (6:40 / km) +750m 5:05 / km

Rough distance. Recce’ing the World Trials on Skiddaw before Sunday...
Think the loop.5 of Latrigg will be tough (some pretty short steep climbs with descent), but the path up to Skiddaw is literally a motorway of a path and found it easy to run up. Turned around at gate 9 (about 1k and 100m from the finish on Skiddaw) as no point going further, and ran over Skiddaw LM on the way back.
Left side recuperated thankfully, right foot been cramping up the last few days but is fine. Feeling a bit lethargic after not doing much all week but I think I’ll be fine by Sunday :)
