Never knew August weather could be so flipping depressing! Steady one to Tesco and back across the chase.

Running HG (Chase Run) 30:55 [4] 7.0 km (4:25 / km) +112m 4:05 / km
shoes: North Face Trail

3.5km out and back the same way for a steady 7. Worked a bit harder than I thought I should have but it was alright. Sisters off to climb Kilimanjaro today so had to keep it short to see her off!

MTB (Chase Ride) 1:05:57 [2] 21.43 km (3:05 / km) +289m 2:53 / km
shoes: VJ Sport IRock

Thought a spin would do me good. However, my legs were shot from the start. Up Abrahams to cadet base, down Kingsley Wood Rd, across Birches Valley and up to Marquis Drive (was chilling up the climb on the granny ring). Dropped down into Sherbrook and home via stepping stones and seven springs.

MTB warm up/down (To Chase) 6:00 [1] 1.5 km (4:00 / km)

Run (Terrain) hills (Terrain/Hills) 42:07 [3] 6.55 km (6:26 / km) +152m 5:46 / km
shoes: Inov8 X-talon 212

Not the nicest of runs and wasn't feeling particularly up for it but just trotted about with the occasional bracken-bash, hill effort or pause for bilberries :) Up from seven springs over black hills then straight up to the left over the switchbacks in knee deep heather for the most part, pretty damn tough! Dropped down and thought I could cut up left over to stepping stones but the bracken was horrific! Pathed it down, then up the grass hill leading to dear lawns (killer!) and back down. Then up the hill all the way up broc coppice then a mixture of singletrack and terrain down and pathed it back. Finished with a last hill to drop down to the car park. Wasn't really feeling it but meh.

One question though; why have I got Geordie Shore adverts on Attack Point?! Sounds truly delightful: 'New Cast, More Banging, More Booze'. The grammar sums it up I think.

A days work experience at a solicitors in Lichfield I managed to get at the last minute. Crash-course in commercial property, love it. Up early for 9 till 5 though, full time education is fab really!
