off road 1:14:51 [3] 6.5 mi (11:31 / mi)

Ashton court - loop and a bit of park with extra hill - always enjoy running here but today bright sun, hard frost and mist over the city. Good choice of venue

1 AM

off road 18:00 [2] 1.0 mi (18:00 / mi)

Warm up
2 AM

orienteering 1:03:50 [5] 8.4 km (7:36 / km)

BAOC at Greenham Common West. Very cold bright day excellent for running in the sun. Trying pretty hard and very enjoyable. However missed control 6, small depression by pond. Found one straight away but no control, circled around and lost loads of time started to leave and then found flag. Grr.. (pond smaller than on map) -inevitably stuffed up 7.
Also lost time at 16,17,18 really needed to hold direction much better in grotty wood. All the rest reasonable but really an area to lose no time.

Tuesday Nov 29, 2016 #

off road 47:10 [3] 4.0 mi (11:48 / mi)

CW N from Tormardon. Felt really tired but needed to escape decorating disasters and get into the sunshine. Very tired and lethargic so skipped plan for BOK run

Monday Nov 28, 2016 #

off road 1:00:33 [3] 6.0 mi (10:06 / mi)

Lovely sunny day -Blaise Castle from main car park -middle of the day, a bit jaded at the start but pushing hard and going well in the second half - always find sessions in Blaise whether fast or slow worthwhile

Sunday Nov 27, 2016 #

1 AM

road run 20:00 [2] 1.0 mi (20:00 / mi)

Lots of running around mostly before the run
2 AM

orienteering race 1:17:58 [5] 7.4 km (10:32 / km)

QO gallopen at Ramscombe -mixed lots in oak woodland -really enjoyed this race. Many might say this is not particularly technical but for me a good challenge. Bit of silly wobbles at 3 and 15 -otherwise ok. Pretty tired at the end. My foot was a bit sore which may have slowed be down

Saturday Nov 26, 2016 #

1 AM

road run (headlight) 20:00 [2] 1.0 mi (20:00 / mi)

Good warm up despite being dark
2 AM

orienteering race (Night O) 48:10 [4] 4.0 km (12:03 / km)

Southern night champs -QO at Ramscombe - did not cross the road into Quantock North - I am sure this would have been superb at night
Disappointed with myself -tactic was to stick to the tracks, even if it lost time on a particular leg, but did not stick to the tactic and so came unstuck losing time at a number of controls and ending up with a messy run

Friday Nov 25, 2016 #

off road 1:10:10 [3] 6.0 mi (11:42 / mi)

Ran with Pete from Portbury (included Ifor's diversion off rather than along A road) thought we were going pretty well so would have guessed we would be a little quicker -but hey ho that's the way it goes. Good training we should do this again

Note

Went for lowland walk with Charlie half in daylight half gloom/ dark -Dryham about 3 miles in 90 mins
