off road 2:15:00 [3] 10.0 mi (13:30 / mi)

Route in the CW from Wotton under Edge: South along CW almost to Alderley then east up the valley (one side of a sort of triangle) and then joined Monarch's Way through Tresham and down the next valley to re-join CW south of Alderley and follow it back to Wotton. Time a bit of a guess. Quite warm despite a breeze so shorts and 'T' shirt fine. Enjoyed this route and 3 quite testing hills so a bit knackered by the end......afternoon nap?

orienteering 55:00 [4] 6.4 km (8:36 / km)

Emersons Green ran a course in 51.46, quite enjoyed this time of training when I was unsure what to do

off road 1:14:10 [3] 6.5 mi (11:25 / mi)

Purdown and Frome Valley - knees were quite sore from start and for duration. So was all a bit pedestrian. I had forgotten to take Ibuprofen which I need to do on days I run - a bit of, and slightly worrying reminder of how dependent I have become.....but c'est la vie

off road 1:04:59 [3] 6.0 mi (10:50 / mi)

TACH race route, up Goblins Combe , down to Wrington, up the hill and down through Bell Wood past Woolmers. Actually did run without any navigational errors in the Combe. Nice route and avoided all but a short . shower. Pretty steady performance.

Controlling 1:00:00 [1] 2.0 km (30:00 / km)

I had felt rubbish on Sunday evening, slept badly and woke worse. No energy and only input limited to minimum needed to allow print run

Sunday Mar 31, 2019 #

off road 1:40:00 [3] 7.0 mi (14:17 / mi)

Run with group of chums from pub up to Waun Fach and back down the ridge. Bright sunshine and warm at lower levels. Cold. misty and windy (struggled running into this...…) on the tops. Lots of stops, which was not ideal but a good social group and that's the nature of group running …..not at the front -I am finding hill running testing -but enjoyable.

Note

I will remember this day as the key cock up day. Fortunately rescued twice by both Sandy and Jane....so all was well, but equilibrium a bit bashed and was tired hungry and more that a bit grumpy with myself
