Running (recovery) 49:28 [2] 10.7 km (4:37 / km) +47m 4:31 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Hitogami 3

Recovery run before the Sunday Flyers long run. I was encouraged by a crowd of several fat people while out on my run with the usual "Run forest RUN!". Not quite sure how they don't have a moment of introspection after yelling at runners; as they waddle down the street and think... "shit... I have a top speed of 4km/h and have trouble getting into my car. Maybe I should stop making fun of runners and eat less KFC." My guess is they haven't become self aware yet.

Running (Friday arvo headwind fest) 1:07:05 [3] 14.5 km (4:38 / km) +220m 4:18 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Hitogami 3

Felt pretty awful today! But that's what hill intervals the day before will do to you I suppose. Massive headwind heading all the way up the coast today which made it slow going.

Running (Street-O Tenambit) 44:00 [4] 10.1 km (4:21 / km) +117m 4:07 / km
shoes: Mizuno Wave Hitogami 3

That was really unpleasant. 40 degrees and a strong hot dry wind in the face for a lot of the course. Realised why I don't really enjoy coming out to street-o when it's $7 for a 45 min run around steets usually in hot temperatures. Nic's course was great but it was street-o and there's only so much you can dress up a street-o course.

Running warm up/down 5:00 [2] 1.0 km (5:00 / km)

Running (Prework morning run) 48:58 [4] 11.4 km (4:18 / km) +120m 4:05 / km
shoes: Saucony Kinvara 6 (August 2016

Hammy and calves felt right as this morning! Think if I get straight out of bed and go for a run I might need a warm-up. Saw Vlad Shattrov out on a run this morning.

Running long 1:51:15 [3] 24.2 km (4:36 / km) +140m 4:28 / km
ahr:137 shoes: Saucony Kinvara 6 (August 2016

First Sunday flyers run. Went off with the red train who were planning on around 25km at 4:30-5:00 pace. Hip didn't complain one bit however my choice to have breakfast prior to my run lead to stomach pain and a symphony of ass trumpeting which I did my best to do down-wind of the bunch. I think this will become a regular during the orienteering off season. Much easier (mentally) to run long distances in a bunch that's for sure.
