Waldo 100k Willamette Pass Ski Area, Oregon: essentially 5 big climbs and descents from ~4,800-7,800' elevation. Never really felt like I was taking it 'easy' but made myself breath through my nose first half - lots of hiking up hills. Trails were 90% smooth and cushy (a lot of them dusty) - most technical and steepest part ~mile 51-54, then rolling downhill to the finish - which I was able to run!!! Felt pretty decent for most - last few miles seem to take forever and I just wanted to be done. Garmin did terrible, lost satellite a lot but somehow added miles. Guts were an issue - not too much with discomfort (a little though) but made 5 pit stops. Fruit, potatoes, pretzels, pringles at ~5 of the aid stations, I think 4 egels, 3 clif shots, 1 honey stinger between aid stations. Felt pretty tired and tummy horrible after finish, but gut some medicine and laid down in med. area ~1 hr. and was much better. 25th overall, 2nd female (would not have caught 2nd if she hadn't fallen and broken her collar bone 8 miles out, then hiked in for the masters win!!!). Over 2 hrs. behind 1st - most years my time would have been in 4th or 5th. Not a perfect run, but I'm happy with it.
