Tempo Run (Marathon practice) 47:41 7.12 mi (6:42 / mi) +371ft6:23 / mi shoes: Mizuno Wave Musha 5 Blue
Didn't quite go to plan. The idea was to have a short run at the same time of day as the marathon including 20 mins at marathon goal pace, having got up at the same time as race day, had the same breakfast etc. I managed to oversleep by 1 1/2 hours, so I hope I don't do that on Sunday! Apart from that my 20 mins at goal pace were 19 seconds per mile too fast! I suppose that is better than 19 seconds too slow.... but need to reign myself in a bit on race day to avoid a major blow out! Feeling good, tapering going well.
