Aqua Jogging 1:22:00 [4]

10 min warm-up
5x 10 min hard running with 3 min recovery between
10 min cool-down

Running 1:00:00 [3] 7.83 mi (7:40 / mi)

Tried to do some intervals, but my body is out of shape so even the "high tempo" was pretty tame.

16 min warm-up
Then 1:00 "on" running hard-ish & 1:00 "off" recovery jog from 16:00 mark to 50:00.
10 min cool-down jog

Tight, heavy, sluggish. Fun stuff.

Aqua Jogging 1:24:00 [4]

Even though I slowly transitioning back to dry land running, for now I think it's best to keep the high-intensity stuff in the pool.

Today was a workout day.

Workout:
10 min warm-up jogging
4x 15 min hard running with 3 min recovery in between
5 min cool-down jogging

Had to cut warm-up and cool-down a bit short because of time constraints.

Also, indulge me in some bitching, but I did NOT enjoy this workout. 15 min might not sound like much, but when you're going back and forth only in the deep end of a pool, it gets VERY monotonous. Add to that other pool patrons who are totally inconsiderate of personal space, this was a workout that couldn't end fast enough.

Running 55:00 [3] 7.0 mi (7:51 / mi)

Low intensity steady run; attempting to get my feet back under me on dry land.

Running 45:00 [3]

First "real" run without breaks. Ugh. I'm heavy and slow and sluggish.

Yoga 1:00:00 [3]

Run/Walk 45:00 [2]

Running 1:21:00 [3] 10.0 mi (8:06 / mi)

Joe is moving/renovating and I'm helping quite a bit. Every evening last week was filled with painting, and this weekend was a lot of time on my feet hauling, shopping, and organizing (all the fun stuff that comes with moving). That being said, I'm trying more than ever to be consistent getting my body back eased back into running. If I'm going to have any chance at making a go at qualifying for OT, each day has to count.

This was not a comfortable jog after being physical all weekend, but I did it without my calf seizing up. Hip hip hooray for small miracles. I'm still really tight, creaky, and feel miserable while trying to run, but the only way to get back in shape is to keep putting one foot in front of the other, so I'll keep trying.
