Orienteering race 1:02:18 [3]

At Vivian North Tract.

Arrived 15-20 minutes late to the mass start with iansmith due to the treacherous weather, and lineup of snowplows on the 404.

Didn't drop any of the dogbones as I was taunted by my American friend to complete it all. Fair enough!

Really tentative orienteering, even though it was easy navigation. Suboptimal route around the box.

Not much fight...should've pushed harder.

Tonne of snow out there!

Great fun though. Always good to be out on a map.

Nice of Ian to schlep us up there to salvage the car for my wife.

Forgot my Forerunner. Actual result time, minus late start.

Easy Old Reliable (Ellis/Clendenan/Glenlake finish) with the Old Boy.

Trail running (30% terrain) 44:25 [2] 8.96 km (4:57 / km) +84m 4:44 / km

Nice quick work day (night).

Drove to High Park from the bakery for an easy jog on all the trails/hills/open forest I could find. Frigid out. Timed with Forerunner 305. Climb calculated with mapmyrun app...which seems to be somewhat accurate. (horrible for distance though)

Now gymnastics with Annie, some O-talk and fish with NevMonster for lunch, a nap with Hank, maybe pizza and a barolo for the eve...and possibly some good music and banter with Old Boy and some neighbours after the kids go to bed...

(will probably skip the scotch, even though he offers an impressive collection)

Running 45:20 [3] 10.29 km (4:24 / km) +45m 4:19 / km

After work run home with a shorter loop out to the Humber, up St. Mark's hill, then all the way along Annette Street from Jane to the railpath.

3:59/km for last 2.5km.

Ran along the concrete embankment of a small tributary of the Humber through Lambton Golf Course. Potential O Cup terrain as an add on to Lower Humber River map. Might be a little tougher to gain access being an old school private club. Nice in there though.
