11 AM

Running 1:12:15 [3] 17.16 km (4:13 / km) +40m 4:10 / km

Smooth and effortless run to Woodbine Beach for a BBQ. Best I've felt in recent memory.

Railpath - Sorauren - Marion - Roncesvalles - rainbow bridge over Gardiner - Lakeshore east all the way to Cherry Street - Lower Don Trail to Carlaw - Back to Martin Goodman Trail - park beside Ashbridge's Bay yacht club.

Seriously considering the Scotiabank Marathon. Was going to shoot for 3:10 with both kids in the chariot, now looking at sub 3:00 sans chariot.

Have never run an organized marathon. Might not have even topped 40 km on an uninterrupted run. 2 months to prepare might not be enough - speed wise.

Any advice for a training plan would be appreciated. So many training plans to sift through online.

Running 41:31 [4] 9.76 km (4:15 / km) +100m 4:03 / km

Unplanned tempo-ish thing. Overcast. Not too hot.

High Park - Spring Road - East gates - Parkside - Garden - Roncesvalles - rainbow bridge over Gardiner - Sunnyside - dirty mouth of the Humber - Queensway - frisbee field - Spring Road.

Felt good considering I only had 2 1/2 hours of sleep, followed by 13 hours of work, no lunch, and maybe 200 mL of water.

I'm not too bright.

Running 57:39 [2] 11.83 km (4:52 / km) +150m 4:35 / km

Beautiful morning run with iansmith.

High Park - Colborne Lodge - Sunnyside - rainbow bridge over Gardiner - Roncesvalles - Westminster - more High Park.

A few hills. A fartlek. A COC's rehash.

Great start to the day.

Golfed at Bond Head today.

9 AM

Running (Chariot with Hank) 1:28:32 [1] 17.85 km (4:58 / km) +185m 4:43 / km

With Annie having a sleepover at my mom's, I decided to go pick her up in the chariot with Hanky...with a ~10km detour.

Old Reliable - Queensway - Lower Humber - Stephen Drive - Kings Mill Park - Etienne Brulé - Home Smith - James Gardens - 240 Scarlett.

Hank's playlist:

Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights (2002)

Start to finish.

With Paul Banks' angsty belt, and Carlos Dengler's moody bass lines, Hank didn't have a chance. Sleeping just before the first riff of Obstacle 1. Interpol's far and away best album. The other stuff is just 'meh'.

Destroyer - Kaputt (2011)

Start to finish.

...kept Hank sleeping. This is oddball Vancouverite Dan Bejar's only listenable full album. He does have a smattering of wicked songs here and there over the years, but most of his extremely large catalogue is unapproachable. (Including most New Pornographers stuff, of which he's a member)

2 PM

Running (Chariot with Hank) 48:12 [2] 9.6 km (5:01 / km)

Home from mom's.

Scarlett - James Gardens - Home Smith - St. Mark's Hill - Babypoint - Annette - Railpath - home.

St. Mark's hill was a devilish climb.

Hank's playlist:

Deerhunter - Wash Off
Hot Chip - Huarache Lights
MGMT - Kids
James Blake - Lindisfarne I
Fugees - The Score
Gary Numan - Tracks
The National - Squalor Victoria
Parquet Courts - What Color Is Blood
Sandro Perri - The Mime
The National - Secret Meeting
Kendrick Lamar - YAH.
