Running 1:49:27 [3] 25.01 km (4:23 / km) +138m 4:16 / km

10km at marathon pace:
Goal - 4:13/km. Actual: 4:11

10km at 50km pace??
Goal - 4:25/km. Actual: 4:24

5km at around 4:30/km. Actual: 4:38

3 hours of sleep. 10 hours of work.

Hydrated all day though. Coconut water seemed to help too! Was prepared for a long run for once.

A scorcher - felt like 34 with the humidity. 2 water stops after the 17km mark. Time running for the second one. Pretty much bathed in a fountain before the first stop. Much needed.

Relaxed face. Good breathing.

...kicked the shit outta that one.

Running 1:08:34 [4] 16.0 km (4:17 / km) +71m 4:12 / km

Another 10 miler at marathon pace.

A little bit of suffering towards the end of this one.

I'll chalk it up to 3 hours of sleep, 12 hours of work, not enough water or food beforehand, a hot sun, and a stiff headwind coming home.

Inspiring run with Old Boy.

Disc flare up overnight. The kind which puts me on the shelf for a week or two. Kyboshed my 5k Mount Pleasant tempo plan.

Feeling very discouraged. Decided to get proactive and battle through the sucker...

Had 1000mg of acetaminophen, 200mg of an old Celebrex prescription, and a bit of a vape pen heavier on the CBD...

Approached the run as a trot.

Felt like I was running with a broken clavicle to start. Gradually loosened up as we trotted along.

Hot shower felt amazing.

Full success.
-----------------------------

I'm not going to let these nagging little injuries fuck with me anymore.

I'm not saying my approach is the best way to go about it. Every situation is different.

In the end it's mind over matter...but I think it's important to be resourceful. I'm wise enough to know what helps me, and to know what hinders me.

I got this.
