Running 1:28:03 [3] 20.0 km (4:24 / km) +61m 4:20 / km

Was shooting for 100-120 minutes...but felt a blister forming on my instep.

...zigzagged home.

From a social distancing perspective, main thoroughfares are lovely to run on...(Dupont, Bayview, Queen, Richmond...) - although the Bayview extension is sketchy as hell with a minimal shoulder. Exponentially better than the Lower Don Trail though, which was littered with people...

At this time of day residential neighbourhoods are a no no. Too many people on their daily walks.

Wore a mask until Rosedale Valley Road. Put it back on near Trinity Bellwoods, then through Brockton Village on the way home.

Can’t really see another run on the horizon unless I get up early Wednesday morning.

It’s a shame because I feel great out there.

Maybe I’ll try for a quick one early tomorrow morning...tough call though because nothing beats an extra morning snuggle with Annie and Hank.

Note

Would’ve been a great night at the Danforth!!

Born in Estevan, Saskatchewan...a great musician.

This album ‘Neon Skyline’ is about the Skyline Diner in Parkdale.

A sweet listen from beginning to end.

Note

At around 11pm I will begin my 4th week back to work.

Thanh has been on 12-15 hour shifts from Sunday to Wednesday beginning at 8:00am. This means I work overnight to get home by 7:45...

Then it’s extreme Dad mode with Hank and Annie all day. I try to sleep 19:30-22:30 only to do it all again into Tuesday.

Tuesday night I sleep. Wednesday I’m off and I feel human again.

Back to work Thursday/Friday into 10 to 12 hour days starting at 1:00 or 2:00am.

Friday I sleep. Weekend...human.

There is a light at the end of the tunnel though. Thanh is directly involved in building TPH’s new Covid database:

https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.thestar.com/amp/ne...

This will enable contact tracing to be done remotely. They are currently training staff and working out kinks.

Perfect storm right now for our little family. Doing our best for the kids.

Thankful to be working, but a very complex situation.
