Tuesday Oct 30

Trail running 45:00 [3]
4x 4+min intervals with Anita and Regnly in the wee hours. Frosty this am!
C • US Champs 2
Bicycle commute 23:00 [1]
The usual.

Friday Oct 26

Note
(sick)
What a difference a day makes... Woke up sick with a bad gastro, likely from shift 24hrs prior. Struggled through part of the morning and luckily they cancelled the last 4 appts. Spent the rest of the day in bed. Feeling better and fever down so will try to sit through a WHL game. Hopefully they behave: last time even the goalies fought...

Thursday Oct 25

Trail running 45:00 [2]
Relaxed run up to the lookoff tower and back down. Ankle still a bit sore.
Hockey 25:00 [4]
Two forward lines, 75min of hockey, quite high intensity when on... Who knows how to log this, really?
Bunch of assists but no goals. Oh well.

Wednesday Oct 24

Bicycle commute 20:00 [1]
for academic rounds and am of work
Trail running 1:40:00 [3]+525m
Wanted to see how running for >90min would go in my O-shoes. Unfortunately, my right ankle is a bit sore now. Pretty good run otherwise: up to FFTW, Who's home, Greenway, Blue Spruce, Swamp Trail and back down Clearcut. First day in a couple of weeks where sunglasses would have been a consideration.
Bicycle commute 20:00 [1]
for evening shift

Tuesday Oct 23

Track workout 53:00 [4]
First time on the track in a several weeks and so had no lofty goals. Ran 4x1200m in 4:06-4:09 which felt comfortable enough, especially given how windy and wet the track was. Then ran 4x200m in 34-33s, learning what track runners probably already take for granted: middle lanes faster than lane 1. I have HUGE respect for Anita's sub-60 400m in high school!
Bicycle commute 20:00 [1]
Note
Just registered for the US champs...
Wanted something to keep me motivated for next year. Figured that if I am considering running the long next summer, I might as well take advantage of such opportunities. Don't know about my shape or if this is a wise use of resources or not but I'll get a visit with some of the family so that's a bonus.

Monday Oct 22

Trail running 1:50:00 [3]
Nice long, slow run with Anita and the dogs. Out around FFTW, rock face and some of the new trails at the end of Blue Spruce. Pouring rain and a bit cold at the end.

Trail running 55:00 [2]
Easy run with SPD and hounds.
Note
Working all this weekend. Looking like a pretty slack week.

Note
No training today - working from dawn to dusk and then some. Very tired after working last night as well.

Wednesday Oct 17

Bicycle commute 20:00 [1]
at noon, for departmental meeting

Monday Oct 15

Mtn bike 1:45:00 [1]

Sunday Oct 14

Easy run at Otway with A & R. Ran Barry's new trail - sweet! Can't wait to ride it.
