Forest of Dean Long-O. A gaudy isn't ideal preparation, so I started off slow and steady and got slower. The best routes often seemed to be along the stony forest roads, especially with the bracken only just dying back - not great when wearing dobbs. Even with food and water, the muscles were aching and not wanting to run after 2h40 in, so the last 40 minutes or so were really hard work.

Technically, poor route choice to #1, slightly too high on #2, then missed the nice route to #3 and ended up being dragged too far down and into some walk (mapped as scattered trees...) by the bracken. Otherwise, just a slight bobble on #13, initially looking too low down the slope.
