Orienteering 35:15 [4] 5.7 km (6:11 / km) +180m 5:20 / km
ahr:172 max:192 shoes: 2013 VJ Supra

JOK/SLOW Club Champs - Mytchett

Had to keep the concentration up around this as quite easy to make a parallel miss, and plenty of route choice options to evaluate - some of which I didn't see.

A good technical run - bit hesistant on a few legs - stopped dead to work it out rather than risking getting it wrong.

Physically going ok, would like a bit more fight on the hills but all in time.

Garmin distance - 6.1k. GPS geeking starts again...

Cycling 20:00 [3] 8.1 km (24.3 kph)

Over to Walton

Running 1:00:00 [2] 9.5 km (6:19 / km)
shoes: La Sportiva C-Lite

To/from the A38 junction, with an off-road loop near Barton in the middle. Pretty flat, but quite muddy in places.

Cycling 19:30 [3] 8.1 km (24.9 kph) +40m

Home after refuelling in the pub. No punctures this time :) Extra weight of hybrid very noticeable - usually sub 16 minutes on the road bike on this stretch.

16 mile route from Ilam in the White Peak, with Tony and Paul. Another decent day - once we got going it was pretty warm, except at the top of Ecton when the windchill was noticeable.

Hills didn't feel as bad as I remembered - but had a 45 mile ride in the legs last time we did this route in May. Fair bit of mud made some of the scrubby/wooded descents a bit treacherous, and the limestone was slippery - all good practice, but slowed things down a fair bit.

Feeling pretty good through Wetton and across to the Dove (2h30+ in) - running smoothly, not working too hard, and then we hit the hard surface of the path by the Dove. Muscles felt heavy in this section - not able to cope with the extra shock from the rocky surface, given they eased off again across the fields at the end?

6 months to the LAMM - aim in spring is to be able to do one of these runs and feel comfortable at the end.
