Sunday Mar 25

MTB hills 45:00 [3]
Biking up to Albert McGowan
Orienteering race (Park-O) 7:38 [5]1.6 km (4:46 / km)
Park-0 at Albert McGowan. Felt ok and had a clean run. Still was beat by a flat 7:00 (came 2nd). Speed is hard to come by as I age (and don't train for running speed).

C • Welcome back, urthbuoy! 4
MTB 14:00 [3]
Bike with Ernie over to 2nd course at Aberdeen Elementary.
Orienteering race (Park-O) 10:28 [5]2.3 km (4:33 / km)
Just plain ran outta steam on this one. Tired old man that I am. Came 3rd. Legs were tired from yesterday and today.

MTB 16:00 [2]
Gave up on a planned extension ride and just headed home via Valhalla for some gear perusal.

A very nice spring day in which everyone is doing something with their yards.
Note
got bored so figured out a way to make my little thumbnail a clickable link directly to the file vs. counting on gifted Firefox users or such using view image.

Somehow in someway I'm just hoping that this makes up for not actually getting the biking hours in I had planned for this week...

Saturday Mar 24

Note
PHOTO CONTEST
So we've got two entries from Bash and one from Arg. I'm going to make a quick executive decision and award the prize to Bash for the following:

a) She desired it enough to submit two photos
and
b) She's upright in her photos

So 5 points to Bash and 3 to arg. My suggestion is now the current point leader gets to host their own photo contest within whatever parameters they desire.

Now after a night of wine tasting I'm supposed to get on my bike for 4+ hours. M'kay!
C • The Sweet Taste of Victory 6
MTB long 3:28:37 [2]75 km (2:47 / km)
ie-won't add up to 4 hours. Out along Shuswap road, turned around at 2:10 and sailed back. Did speed work after 1 hour (shown below).
MTB tempo 30:00 [4]
3x10min MSPs, 20 minutes in-between (shown above).

Saw some mountain sheep and chased them across the road in front of me.

Friday Mar 23

Running 1:00:00 [2]10.3 km (5:50 / km)
Day off (of biking that is), mucked up my watch at the 1/2 way point (31:25), so I'll just give myself an even 1 hr.

Note
Time is running out on the photo contest. I'll be heading off to H's surprise b-day party shortly, so a final decision on the recently decided upon "Photo furthest from anything to do with your training for that day" category will be chosen through a battle royale tomorrow.

Thursday Mar 22

Spinning 2:10:00 [2]
Assitis prevented me from reaching 2:30, but a showing nonetheless. Had some time to read about how our culture leads us to doom over and over, watch some T.V., and tape my hockey stick.
C • Photo Contest 7
Hock-ay (1.5 hrs ice time) 1:00:00 [3]
(injured)
Sore right groin muscle. Kinda felt it nagging me last week, and then the moment the game started it started to hurt. Hockey players just suck it up right? Well, by the end of the game, I was done. Hoping I can magically sleep it off.

Also coming to the close of the photo contest, with one entry so far:-). People have until end of dayish tomorrow. Let's say end of daylight so 7:30pm Pacific time. That gives an unfair advantage to a darkhorse westerner to sneak in some last minute training and submit I understand. But all will be rewarded appropriately.

Wednesday Mar 21

MTB long 2:12:00 [2]42 km (3:09 / km)
Not sure how I felt about this ride. 30 min in I knew I was going to suffer. The wind was thick and cold and my mind was on work stuff. I made it to Lafarge then turned around and enjoyed the sailing downwind. I'm giving myself points for doing as much as I did.

Far short of my planned 3.5 hr. ride, but I may put in a run or a spin later...we'll see.

Tuesday Mar 20

Spinning 1:00:00 [4]
Tempo ride with long sprints. Always 100+ rpm.

It was snowing outside today, so done indoors.

Monday Mar 19

Running 38:14 [1]
(rest day)
Day off, but then Joe O' wanted to go for a paddle then bailed on me, then I was going to hit my 10km run, then B. phoned and wanted to "go for a run to get back in shape". So a slow jog with business partner.
