Edzell, 9c

Reverse Lethnot loop with white Caterthun

Easy run after the exertions last weekend. Felt good. Strong uphills and very encouraging pace on descents. Finished really strong, which included a stop at the shop for Jane's paper.

London, 16c

Usual Green Park and back

Frustrated with Apple watch chrono. So sensitive that, again, stopped in the middle of the run when paused it to wait on traffic lights at Buckingham Palace. Very annoying at how it splits runs all the time.

Generally a good, easy run. Think is the first time since I fell almost two weeks ago that had no knee pain. Calves and quads good and loose.

The Hague, 14c

Reverse long tower loop

First recovery run. Odd that calves were sore to begin with but then eased off. Then behind my knees ached followed by my quads causing issues. After 30mins or so I felt that was basically relaxed and had a good run. Encouraged at relative ease of this run after such a hard weekend.

Chamonix, 12c and very wet

To Les Houches and back

Pouring rain. Rather than the hill session that PdW suggested, I preferred to recce the first part of the UTMB race that I did not know. Scouted the route on online maps last night and found it easily. Sort of undulating trail and then through the middle of Les Houches.

Legs stiff but nothing like should be after yesterday's efforts. Must be the poles that are rescuing the strain.
