Official (ANSW umpire) 1:25:11 [1] 3.55 km (24:00 / km)
slept:7.1 weight:66kg shoes: New Balance MX624ABv4 (black)

NSW Cross Country Championships, Kembla Grange, Day 2/2 (8.30am to 3pm).
Left central Wollongong at a lazy 8am after ANSW paid for drinks last night at 'Mr Crown'. Todays races were for the U11s to U16s (now called men & women, not boys and girls). Umpired where the 3km loop rejoins the 2km loop. My replacement at the critical 2km/3km turn was unable to prevent several U14 men from taking a 100m shortcut. Only the gold medal was awarded in this race. 27°C.
Headlines: Reprieve in table for cafes and pubs (coronavirus) / 'I will do everything to clear my name' (Michael Jennings, league)

NSW Cross Country Championships, Kembla Grange, Day1/2 (8.30am to 4pm).
Left home at 6.30am. Cancelled, relocated and cancelled again due to changing COVID restrictions. Usually late for a 'winter' event. We are usually one month unto the summer track season by now. Todays races were for the U17s to Open and Masters classes. Umpired at the critical 2km/3km turn again. ANSW are putting us up at the Quest Apartments in Wollongong to save a 4-hour round trip and another early start tomorrow. 25°C.

Berowra loop. Legs felt heavy all morning. Probably due to the 4 hours of racing last weekend. Needed to stay close to home in case the roofing guy came back. Our front gutter leaks from overflow slots onto the loungeroom window as soon as there is heavy rain. This gutter was replaced by AAMI after the December 2018 hailstorm. 19°C. TE 2.2.

"Ferretville", Forestville. 21/23c. Net 45 points (max 50). 6:15 early (no penalty). 29th/41 (5 pts behind Greg Barbour). 24°C. TE 3.4.
The cps the the bush were a bit trickier than Saturday but located in a smaller area. 18 people got max points. Couldn't find 43 - wrong gully just off the map. Forgot about 45. Copped some abuse from a landowner near 52 who demanded to know who we were. Probably not the most efficient collection sequence: 34-35-45-44-41-50-52-38-48-53-36-51-42-47-39-37-46-33-32-31-40-F. Time losses: 43 not found (7:40). #17(46) - Dropped too low (-2:30). Est time lost 10:10.

Again my route choices could have been a lot better but I did get them all: 115-121-107-112-108-109-101-110-114-120-111-106-118-105-122-119-116-102-103-104-117-113-F.
Should have done 106 before 101 and 111-114-120-110 in this order. Very slow (not fun) one-directional single track between 121-101 to pick up just 4c/9pts in 10'. Lost 1' on 110(#8) when I accidentally rode down an unmapped OOB road before backtracking. 21 people got max points.
