LANSW Youth Championships, Sydney Olympic Park Athletics Centre. Day 2/2. 26°C.
I lodged just one report about a boy who crashed three consecutive hurdles with his leading foot (TR 22.6.2). This type of hurdle has no counterweight and falls over quite easily. The boy didn't seem to be trying to get his heel over the top. But the referee gave him the benefit of the doubt as the athlete cleared the last two.
Events today: 32 x hurdles (80-110m), 4 x 100m, 32 x 200m, 18 x 800m, 8 x 1500m walk.

Bankstown Invitational, The Crest Athletics Track. 4.30-9.15pm. 27-21°C.
Supposed to be a high performance meeting but all the top athletes are at the Brisbane Track Classic. The two community 5km races were tough to lap count with 27 runners in each - most of the hip nos greater than 20 were hand written and very hard to read.
Events tonight: 100mH, 10 x 100m, 7 x 400m, 6 x 800m, 5 x 1500m, 2 x 5000m.
Bethany ran 57.52 to finish 5th in the elite 400m race.

Exactly one year since I started home from home due to COVID. Although today I was at my Parramatta Office because it's Thursday.

The big wet appears to finally be over - 384 in 8 days (335mm in the middle 5 days). Pulled out some big weeds beside the north steps garden while the ground was soft. Removed fallen palm fronds from the front garden. Stitches came out today. Doctor advised me to avoid exercising for another week.
