Rain - but only at lunch time when I wanted to go out. A bit of a sleep-in after watching the Kyrgios-Djokovic match last night until 2.30am. Calves a bit tight from the weekend's races.

"Lone Palm", Broken Bago Nature Preserve, Wauchope. M55AS / Hard 4: 2.4km, +60m, 12c. 1st/4 (4:00 ahead of Andrew Mac Donald). 17°C. TE 4.1.
Very slow terrain when not running on tracks - bracken, lantana, fallen branches, holes. Route choices and navigation worked out today. Only problem was trying to find the marked crossing of the deep creek on the way to #5. This was also a bingo control on an overgrown cement platform (lost 3'). R ankle seized up a bit on the uneven ground to #4 - couldn't run freely on the tracks from then on.
Best legs: #1,3,7,10,F (1st/4). Best pos: 1st/4 (#S-F).

"Mackillop College", Port Macquarie. M55AS / Hard 3: 2.9-3.8km, 25c. 1st/4 (55" ahead of Andrew Mac Donald). 20°C. TE 4.3. Vdot 26.2
A longer than usual sprint distance because today's second planned race was cancelled. A tricky little campus with irregular building alignments. Lots of route choices to consider. Mild slope from E to W. First 17c on the west side of a main road with a map flip at #9. Some controls visited again before using the road underpass to do the last 7c on the east side and finish.
Time losses: #3 - Took a while to work out which corner of the courtyard I needed be at (+40"). #8 - Didn't realise cp was elevated (20"). #10 - Route choice on wrong side of building (+1:25). Total estimated time losses: 2:25.
Best legs: #4,6,7,9,12-15,17-23,F (1st/4). Best pos: 1st/4 (#4,6-9,14-F).

Berowra circuit. Short ride just to get out of the house. A couple of degrees colder than yesterday but very windy. Spotted Todd's restored Chevy ute ('Toxic') cruising around Berowra. Also bumped into Steve Fox. Looks like his son Nick will be making his Wallabies debut off the bench against England this Saturday. He's 6'9", fast and plays in the second row. 14°C. TE 2.5.
