North along the Rideau Canal then west along the Ottawa River and back for my first run in Ottawa. Had to stop towards the end and cool down since it was far too hot to be running. But my times are still getting faster and faster. 20lb still to loose before we can get up to top speed.

Orienteering WOO YAY, Taylor Creek Park BOO!

I'd forgotten how brutal and unforgiving these inner city parks are. I'd also forgotten how to map read for the first 3-4 mins, which resulted in me shooting off down the wrong path in the wrong direction. Once I got over all that it wasn't all bad. Red tape instead of kites made it a bit more challenging, but I hit most of the controls within a few meters or so. Fuji Trainers are useless for orienteering, there's not enough grip and my foot was slipping around all over the place inside the shoe. Caught my breath around halfway, still have some way to go with fitness.

lost 2-3 mins due to mistakes.

Cycling 34:11 intensity: (31 @1) + (9:13 @2) + (23:46 @3) + (41 @4) 8.73 km (15.3 kph) +82m

It's amazing what a few degrees decrease in temperature can do. I felt almost as good as a few weeks ago in Guildford with a few extra hills.
