Over to the Lakefront to meet the group (of 23 people!) going down to 3 Floyds.

Ride to 3 Floyds! I had my mtb, adjusted the derailleur before starting (very helpful since I needed the highest gear ratio much of the way and then we were off after waiting a bit for the crew. There was a wide variety of cyclists and speeds, and I was mostly near the front, and there were some hurry-up-and-waits but you expect that with this sort of group ride. Pretty low HR much of the way, L1 for sure. A couple of times I sprinted ahead just to give my legs a rest of spinning. In to the wind, too.

Most of the folks took the train home (another 10 mile ride) but it was too nice a day to not bike all the way back. A bit faster this time, although someone busted a tire somehow and we had to wait for a not-so-speedy retiring on a hot highway overpass. Oh, well. A bit of sprinting on the way back to push up the HR, and at one point I may or may not have drafted a bus. Then a jump in the lake (woo!) and then I slowly pedaled to the train and took it home.
