So the Somerville Project is on temporary hold since BlueBikes has a highly-gamified promo going on for the next four weeks. For their
(yeah, ironic) you get things for certain numbers of rides. The big deal is at 65 rides you get a free annual pass, which is worth more than $100, so now each ride is worth more than $1.50. But it has to be 5 minutes long.
So now Bikeshare Score-O is an optimization game between finding sprints between stations with high point values and which also have a 5ish minute ride in between.
Luckily it's about a five minute run from Kendall Square's point sink to generating locations, so I was able to run/bike down there, run around to some stations, move some bikes, and run back. Weather good for it, but my hands were chilly by the end. Got 6 rides in, and about 25 points. Lots of rides where I'd have to wait a bit for my phone to show 5m, and then dock the bike. Kind of fun.
Running felt okay. A little heartburn from, you know, messing up my GI tract the other day.
