Run (NP MADISON) 36:39 [2] 4.3 mi (8:31 / mi) +65m 8:08 / mi

So there's this thing, November Project. Maybe you are cool and have heard about it? If so, that is a good thing. They had a multi-city run on Sunday, and I wasn't in Boston. Boo. But there was a run in Madison, which is only so far from Chicago and home to a good friend from college. Drove there, took a wrong turn and was late. But since when to NP events start on time? Never.

Ran with the pack down some trails and up a hill. And then a mile-or-so TT on a railroad grade path. Not prepped for this at all (sitting in a car, balancing drinking and peeing, no warm up) but ran a 5:43 so says Strava so that is okay. Then since it was Wisconsin, free beer! Had we known. Instead we paid $4.50 for two pints. And pizza. And 8 people in a Subaru to the start to fetch the cars. And Em won a free pair of shoes, so there's that, too.

Good times.

Run 21:45 [1] 2.5 mi (8:42 / mi)

Traveling and drinking. And humidity. And staying with friends. Not a good combination for a good lot of training. Oh, well.

Note

Wound up taking something like 12 bike trips today and biking, oh, 25 miles. Tough to log.

Run hills 28:32 [3] 1.5 mi (19:01 / mi) +524m 9:07 / mi

Pretty good NP today. Warm in the sun, but cooler once we hit the shady side. Started three sections early to avoid the crowds and didn't get passed by too many people. Realized most of the fastest are quick-stepping up the stairs, not bounding. Bounding = better, amirite?
6 PM

Rollerski 1:03:55 [1] 9.3 mi (6:52 / mi) +40m 6:47 / mi

Hit the trail after dropping my car at my sister's house so she can move and I don't have to worry about getting towed. Not too hot but drank a lot of water. Good mostly DPing out, and skating back faster. The 5 min miles coming downhill are fun, would be more fun if you could all-out V2 without all the people around.

Run 51:08 [2] 6.5 mi (7:52 / mi)

Ran to Whole Foods. Past the cop who gave me a ticket for riding outside a bike lane (not illegal). Took some pictures of the bike lane which I didn't ride in (the one with no line and horrible pavement). This should be fun.

Run 16:00 [2] 2.2 mi (7:16 / mi)

Had to go to the city to get a new parking permit. Then had to take a shower and go to a meeting. #badplanning.
