Run 32:18 [1] 4.1 mi (7:53 / mi) +30m 7:42 / mi

A very taxing run. Off to JP to do my taxes (past years live on my parents computer and software). Lovely day for a run, hard to convince myself that I really only have to run 8 or 9 miles. A bit around the pond up top the hill.
5 PM

Run 34:28 [1] 4.4 mi (7:50 / mi)

And the taxing taperfest continues. Taxes were quick and easy, and I took a nice breezy jog home carrying my state return (they try to hose you for $25 to remit your state return, no thank you, I will print it and mail it for a dollar).

Run 39:11 [1] 5.4 mi (7:15 / mi)

Went out this morning before an unconference (long story) for a run. Can we order this weather for the marathon, please? I mean, 50˚, dew points in the 30s, and a 20 mph WSW tailwind? Uh, yeah, I'd take that for the race. It actually looks like it might be going in that direction.

Garmin was very confused: it thought it was only a mile to my office, now I'm looking at the track and it thinks I went through a bunch of people's living rooms and then down Broadway. Anyway, it got caught up on the Longfellow. So I had a nice run at 7s in to the wind (oh, yeah, that tailwind? I went the wrong way) and wasn't really pushing that hard and felt pretty great and the unconference gave me a great reason not to run too much, which is good. Legs aren't sore after some stretching and ghetto foam rolling (coke bottle) last night, and maybe 10 tomorrow, and then über-taper. 9 days.

Run 48:06 [1] 6.2 mi (7:45 / mi)

So, this isn't really a fast 10k, but reminded me what it's like to run in soup. Hopefully we are not trying to run the marathon in soup. At least it was cool? Didn't feel great, but not terrible, so ran a while at a nice pace. Then went home and ate food.

Run 26:56 [1] 3.5 mi (7:42 / mi)

Quick run in the morning because of more evening activities. The crosswind on the bridge was nasty. 34 and drizzle, typical April weather.

Run hills 9:47 [1] 1.4 mi (6:59 / mi)

Stuff in the evening = run in the morning. Uh, November Project, that is.

Run hills 40:00 [1] 1.5 mi (26:40 / mi) +567m 12:16 / mi

Wow, I've never really stayed completely in L1 at November Project. I took it nice and easy to prevent injury or massive soreness. Snow is melted but some of the railings on the stairs were actually crushed under the weight of the snow: and they're solid metal. Took a couple sections fast, but kept things cool the whole way around. Good fun.

Run 13:30 [1] 1.3 mi (10:23 / mi)

Slow jog home.

Run 40:53 [1] 5.5 mi (7:26 / mi)

Moderate pace today, felt pretty good. Across the river with the roommates, they turned back across at the BU Bridge, I went to the Anderson Bridge, jogged through traffic to get to the light at the right time, back down, back across the Weeks Bridge, and then to TJs

Run 4:15 [1] 0.4 mi (10:37 / mi)

Didn't buy much, so a nice easy jog home.

Note

I was going to go for a run but was so tired/hungry when I got home that I didn't. I'm going in to full self-preservation mode now: sleep and health are more important than whatever bits of training I do or don't do. So: going to bed before 11 (preferably by 10), eating enough and at the right times, staying hydrated, staying healthy. Two weeks until drinking season!
