Run to Trader Joes. Still worried about the ankle. Felt fine during the run but sore when I woke up today. Soreness is on the outside, right where the bone (end of the fibula?) forms a ball. Point tenderness. But no pain when weight bearing. I did not go to stairs on Wednesday because of this.

Question: how much should I be resting this, what else should I be doing, and is is okay to do things like rollerskiing/double poling or should I keep weight off of it entirely?

Ugh.

Note

Rough training week. Sprained ankle, lots of travel, dealing with grad school apps, GRE, etc. Trying to get enough sleep. Also, I kind of want snow. There might be a crazed trip to Craftsbury or something similar next weekend.

Push ups, hoisties, burpies, etc. A pretty long fun workout from our friends in NYC.

Rollerski long 1:36:40 [1] 14.7 mi (6:35 / mi) +154m 6:22 / mi

Headed out to Central Park. Warm and moist, with some wet leaves, and the pavement has certainly deteriorated in the past few years. A good ski, but not great; never felt my balance was great (maybe my ankle was still janky) and at one point took a minor spill on to the asphalt. The smallest boo boo on my arm. Then I skied slowly home.

Felt great hitting the stairs for PR day … until my ankle started to hurt more. This was sad. Self preservation mode.
