Run 1:14:10 [1] 9.0 mi (8:14 / mi) +35m 8:09 / mi

November Project had a prom on Saturday night, which was excellent, except for the person who fell and grabbed on to a velvet rope stand and lost part of her finger. Uh, glad that wasn't me! They cut us off after that (although it was more wet floor and less drunk). So we went to another bar and then got burritos and then went to another bar because there's no 2 a.m. last call. Then I got tired and took the train home, because the trains run every 15 minutes all night. YOU HEAR BOSTON?!

I put on a sleep mask and slept until noon. That was kind of weird, and kind of great.

And the weather stayed amazing, so I took a nice long run pounding the pavement.

Bicycle 30:00 [1] 6.5 mi (4:37 / mi)

Biking down to a Beer Mile.

Run 3:55 [3] 0.5 mi (7:50 / mi)

I failed at a beer mile! They are terrible. I started by chugging a beer and running a loop of the track in 1:50. Going well! Then I had a second beer slowly, and ran another loop. Then I felt awful and nursed a third beer. I may never do this, and that is okay by me. Or I could have gone slower with the first beer. It actually might be good training for eating during long runs.

Bicycle 35:35 [1] 6.8 mi (5:14 / mi) +10m 5:13 / mi

Bike ride home!
6 PM

Run 45:55 [1] 5.8 mi (7:55 / mi) +20m 7:50 / mi

After the beer mile failure, I needed to do something, so I took a nice loop through Evanston and Chicago. Weather amazing for late June.

November Project 26:00 [1] 0.5 mi (51:59 / mi) +30m 43:49 / mi

Biked to train in thunderstorm, which was still going downtown for an Aladdin workout. This was moderately ridiculous and hard at the same time. And had to be modified to be mostly underground given the weather. Which sort of worked! Various core stuff, running, dips, push ups, etc. NP has to get more ridiculous in places there are no hills. Oh, NP.
6 PM

Run 28:21 [1] 3.5 mi (8:06 / mi) +18m 7:58 / mi

Quick run in town in the evening, because after the rain it got so, so nice out I couldn't not go for a run.

Run 8:00 [1] 0.9 mi (8:53 / mi)

Running part of first part of NP

Core 5:00 [1]

Push ups, something, and something else. In wet, freshly-mown grass.

Run 12:36 [1] 0.9 mi (14:00 / mi)

Run part of second part of NP

November Project 13:00 [1]

This was interesting: start with a side plank facing someone, high-five with the upper hand, then roll over away from them to a push-up, do a push up, roll back. It had a name. It was ridiculous. It will hurt in all sorts of weird places tomorrow, probably. Then some wall sits.

Note

Apparently Julia Child was a huge Gold Fish fan. This made my day.
7 PM

Run 43:00 [1] 5.3 mi (8:07 / mi) +23m 8:00 / mi

Run around Evanston along the lake and some other roads. Lake breeze = nice and cool! Legs still tired from Sunday.
