Run 39:40 [1] 5.2 mi (7:38 / mi)

Quick run on a nice afternoon, until some guy blew by a pedestrian and I almost slammed in to the side of his car (my hands certainly did).

Sister ran to my house, then we ran way out around Pleasure Bay. Just gorgeous day. Pushed in to the mid/lower 7s for the last bit of the run home.

Best part: old school white guys in Southie having a Southie conversation (lots of cussing, no Rs) cheered us on when we ran by. I said "see you in a couple of weeks" and they said they would. Oh, Boston.

Run 40:49 [1] 5.4 mi (7:34 / mi) +29m 7:26 / mi

Afternoon run on the usual river loop. Legs felt very tired to start, but I busted out some 6:30 action along the river.

Note

After a crazy week I was at a conference all day in Rhode Island. Attempted to get back in time for a run, but was way too tired.

Run 12:34 [1] 1.2 mi (10:28 / mi) +8m 10:16 / mi

So, the crazy tale of Ari going to November Project.

I could have lugged all my bags to November Project, then tried to get to the train with all the stuff and the airport in time to check the bags. It would have been close.

Or …

I could run down to the train at 4:30 (but 7:30 eastern). Run down the hill with my skis and boots, run over to the train, take the train to the airport …

Run 6:33 [1] 0.7 mi (9:21 / mi)

… run to the desk, check the skis/boots/etc, then run back to the train …

Run 17:20 [1] 1.9 mi (9:07 / mi) +12m 8:57 / mi

… off the train, and a run to the park for November Project. Plenty of time to … well, to go to the bathroom, which was necessary (but at least I was hydrated).

Run 15:22 [1] 1.6 mi (9:36 / mi) +19m 9:16 / mi

Running around doing November Project things.

Core 15:00 [1]

And doing core November Project things

Run 16:51 [1] 2.0 mi (8:25 / mi) +17m 8:12 / mi

… and finally, back to the train, a little faster, perfect timing down the stairs. Now, my backpack. Well, Danny Bell took it down the hill from his house to the train station. As I was coming in he arrived, handed me the backpack as the door opened, and I was off! Worked perfectly.

Upgraded all the way back to BOS. 2:30 layover in SFO, which I spent in the UA club getting work done, but what I should have done was to go take the BART to Millbrae to get an In N Out burger. Unfortunately the extra fare to/from the airport would make it a $10.10 fare, as much as three Double Doubles.

Run 44:14 [1] 5.3 mi (8:21 / mi) +149m 7:41 / mi

More Seattle hills. Down to the lake, then up a long, steep hill, crested the top, great views. Legs feel fine.

Gravity ski day!

Actually, I think this was great for my legs; sort of forced yoga. AT skis did great. Snow was very good, snowing during the day, not too icy, and barely anyone there. We skied some trees (much fun in deep powder, and not so different from ski-o) and went to the top of the expert lift, picked out way down a ridge since it was too foggy to see the bowls, then found some nice powder back down.

I left my skins in the car, but left a backpack full of gear in Seattle, so no uphilling for me; otherwise I probably would have taken some uphills to find some untracked snow.
