Pretty good long run! Timed well: left when the sun went in the clouds, got home as the first raindrops started to fall (although after two surprise deluges, today's rainstorm mostly fizzled). I ran a route I've biked before: out Mystic Lakes, up the Winchester Hills, then down the bike path. Actually a decent approximation of the race in a few weeks, with steeper uphills. Ran 7s on the bike path in L1, saw a CSU parent on a bike, and then missed the light at Arlington Center, so the speed portion came to an end. Also I needed to use a port-o-john and spotted one nearby. Had a gel at Alewife, and maintained decent pace home.

Been bad with the training. Lots of coursework and lousy weather doesn't exactly help. (It's rained >1" two of the last six days, for instance.) Made it out for a run around Fresh Pond today. Felt okay. Very windy, but good temperatures. Marathon in three weeks will be … interesting.

NP PR day. I went out hard but after about 10 sections it was clear my legs wanted no part of it. Also, it had warmed up overnight, mid-50s was hot. Finished pretty struggly, then saw Maile, who was late, but still there.

Cristina has an extra ticket to the Sox game, and couldn't find anyone to go (after Melissa bailed, having a lot of stuff to do), so I said "sure I'll bite I don't have anything better to do" which meant no track. So I went for a run and saw Cristina (we both ran 5.85 miles, it turns out!).

Wanted to do some pickups, so I did 30-60-90-120-90-60-30 along the river. Only 8 minutes, but I actually did them reasonably quickly, about 5:45s, and felt pretty good.
