Run 1:39 [1] 0.2 mi (8:15 / mi)

The swelling had gone way down and really there wasn't much pain, so I signed up for the mile race the November Project people were all doing. I didn't want to warm up and was a bit hungover, but my leg felt okay. As we waited for the start, I did a little jogging. As long as I stayed on my toes my leg didn't feel too bad. Heel strikes, through. Well, just a mile.

Run race 5:48 [3] 1.0 mi (5:48 / mi)

Mile race. I went out conservative, then passed people, but based on my leg and my hangoveredness, it wasn't my day. It was very fun to look down at my watch 1:25 in and think "quarter of the way done, I can survive four more minutes!" And I did. Barely. Finished sub-6, which is fine.

Run 27:00 [1] 2.0 mi (13:30 / mi) +115m 11:27 / mi

NP Chi has PR day on the last Friday. Still pretty shot from a long week and some beers and from the burpies, I wasn't about to set a PR. So I ran the circuit, chatted with people, and on the 7th lap, as I attempt to go up the big steps, I slipped and slammed my right shin in to the step. By the time I got back to the start I had an extra kneecap.

It looked real bad. Not broken, since I was walking, but like what happens when a cartoon person is hit on the head and it just swells way out. Someone had ice, so I stopped and put the leg up and iced it. It didn't hurt that much, but I figured it would come later. The swelling went down, when you hit a bone it can only swell out. But it looked real bad! Took the train home.

Run 29:30 [1] 3.8 mi (7:46 / mi)

To the train, then to NP, then back to the train.

Core 37:00 [3]

Core with NP. Various things, choose your own adventure, and then 7 minutes of burpies. I lost track of how many, but it was good.

Trail Run 36:14 [1] 2.8 mi (12:56 / mi) +135m 11:15 / mi

Out to WaWa to warm up with the juniors for Alex's WaWa time trial. Legs still a little tired, but we'll see.

Trail Run 23:16 [4] 2.0 mi (11:38 / mi) +300m 7:56 / mi

CSU time trial! I went out at the back of the pack, pretty slow, to feel my legs out. They felt pretty okay. So I started pushing up the pack. I passed a bunch of kids, giving mostly encouragement, and L4ed most of the way up the hill. Wachusett is definitely trail running! Legs pretty shot near the top, though.

Trail Run 34:24 [1] 2.0 mi (17:12 / mi) +22m 16:38 / mi

Then a group hike/jog down the hill. Then ice cream. Watch band broke.
