Trail Run 1:25:31 [1] 8.7 mi (9:50 / mi) +398m 8:36 / mi

Run to the same place today. A little warmer, a little shorter, legs felt a bit tired after 800m yesterday, but stayed on the lower trails (mostly in the shade) and did them at a jog. More people out, but a nice day.

Trail Run 2:28:38 [1] 14.5 mi (10:15 / mi) +802m 8:45 / mi

After a looong drive Friday (beautiful though coming up the coast as the sun set) I went for a later run today. Staying about a mile from an open space in the Coastal Range with trails. The trails are mostly fire roads and super buffed out single track so, that's pretty okay!

Went out today and immediately lost service on my map (phone) which hadn't downloaded/rendered the pdf I'd downloaded. iOS seems particularly bad at this. So I ran by memory and didn't take a wrong turn until near the top when I was supposed to take a right down the Black Mountain Trail but instead went up to the top of Black Mountain. Got to the top, got service, found my mistake. Oh well.

Run down was great. Finished my water, glad I didn't go during the heat of the day!

November Project 24:00 [1] 0.8 mi (30:01 / mi)

NP LAX at the beach. Not a bad morning, cool as the sun came up. Some traffic on the way (of course) but I got there for the end of the bounce, then a relatively easy baby sitter workout there of running back and forth (in one direction in to the surf) and then using watermelons as med balls.

More watermelons since there were foursomes and two of our guys were slower, so us faster guys ran faster and then did stuff with the watermelons.

Trail Run 1:26:55 [1] 7.0 mi (12:25 / mi) +454m 10:20 / mi

Shira said to go run in Mission Park so … away I went. It was hot (90) and sunny (no shade) and I went through >1L of water but made it back without dying. After this hot running some cooler weather on the East Coast should be a breeze.

Nice views of the coast and city, at least, and some marine layer breeze at times.

Run 24:30 [1] 2.6 mi (9:25 / mi) +88m 8:32 / mi

November Project included hot potatoes, which was sitting holding a squat or plank or something while a bunch of actual potatoes were passed around, then running a circuit down a trail in Balboa Park (nice!). Did some of both. Also forgot my water bottle. Luckily I have more at home.

And then in the afternoon, surfing! Well, attempts at surfing.

Trail Run 35:03 [1] 3.9 mi (8:59 / mi) +55m 8:37 / mi

Wound up going running later, pretty sore from yesterday's NP! Went up along a path along the railroad, then down and back along the beach, which is quite hard and good for running. Got dark, and my headlamp had discharged in my bag at some point, but luckily there was plenty of ambient light.

Run 35:00 [1] 1.6 mi (21:52 / mi) +120m 17:44 / mi

Fun NP San Diego workout with Shira Klane (and others, but still, we know who matters: OG NP_Bos people). Running, burpies, bear crawls, stairs. This will probably hurt tomorrow.

Run 4:00 [1] 0.1 mi (39:59 / mi) +17m 26:10 / mi

And then, three more stair sprints, push ups and dips.
