OLOU German Ridge Ramble
I made a small error at 3 partially due to the solid blue N/S line hiding the intermittent stream
Missed #5 badly. I remember thinking that the first reentrant I crossed must be an unmapped reentrant! DUH! Don't doubt the map maker.
I realized I was above 5 because the cliffs all are on the same contour.
Missed #10 really badly! No excuses and can't really figure that one out other than I was really trying to put some distance between myself and David Waller. I didn't know how fast
he started after me but caught me at #5 or #6. He actually beat me to #10, 11 & 12!
I was motivated to finish strong and he pushed me to a better time than I would have achiieved if I had not encountered him. You gotta love the O-dynamics!
On a side note, I am sliced up head to knee (thank God for teh gaitors) from the green briar. I kept thinking of Louis Smith's' assesment of the map several years ago as " unusually open forest"!
