Tamar Triple Day 2: Higher Whiteleigh

Today's day, a standard Regional Event, used the northernmost part of Cookworthy forest, leaving the middle for the last day tomorrow. It perhaps wasn't quite as runnable as yesterday, and it was also less flat. However, the weather today being lot drier than yesterday didn't stop today's area from being a complete mudbath in places.

Although I felt tired from running through all ther mud, I didn't feel that I made that many mistakes navigationally. Like yesterday I lost a bit of time at #1, after not really having a plan for it. #7 should have been easy - there's a blindingly obvious vegetation boundary corner nearby - but I still managed to lose about a minute on it. #10 I'm not convinced was entirely in the right place - I got to the area and found a number of people looking for it. And finally with number 16 I ended up 60m too far to the north of the control as I emerged onto a rough-open area.

The mud did slow me down, but despite that it was nice to get round the course in sub-10 minutes per kilometre. And as I left, I noticed that I had the fastest time (so far) on M21S today. However, the Kromhout brothers seemed not to have finished then - I strongly suspect they'll beat me, as they did yesterday.
