WOW! My biggest run since my last surgery - feeling awesome! My hip actually felt quite stiff this morning - but not painful, so I tried to loosen it up nicely with stretching and yoga - but the running actually helped loosen it after about 3km!
Culbin Forest is gorgeous to run around... and Becky did a great navigation job!
The trail today was challenging, with a lot of sections working on our fell running technique off the paths, a range of surfaces including stone, rock, sand, track etc... and some tough climbs! We also carried water/fuel/kit with us on our backs which was new! But our pace really wasn’t super slow at all, despite some walking sections! Feeling strong! And I will keep building building slowly slowly :D

Lovely chilled run with Becky to start the day! We just ran around Culbin forest and back home, and I felt good! My hip felt a little sore, but got through it fine - I am for sure better in the morning which is good to know in general. This was also the first time wearing my new compression calf sleeves - they were awesome and felt great so will wear them pretty much always in the future! :)
3 PM

Cycling 56:00 [3] 21.2 km (2:38 / km) +69m 2:36 / km
ahr:129 max:173

Me and Becky cycled home from Findhorn, and we also did a little extra loop at the end to bring the distance to 20km and the time closer to 1 hour as was set.
Feeling strong on the bike - was fairly flat so we got pretty good speed up! Keeping it going <3

Note

RE-ALIGNED WITH FOCUS TODAY <3 - i slipped a little out of focus over the last week or 2, so I am cantering today and remembering that the time is now :D Remaining committed to my training, lifestyle and nutrition for healing. These will all help further ease and discomfort and pain with love, and as my body shifts to a lighter state that will continue to help <3

Cycling long 2:40:00 [3] 56.2 km (2:51 / km) +549m 2:43 / km
ahr:131 max:177

Great long bike ride on the roads with Becky! Starting in Kintessack and training on a lot of hills, long flat stretches and some more rough paths in the forest! I for sure feel stronger on the bike - which is a great feeling as I have 5 weeks to further improve!
Hip occasionally pinched but felt pretty good and feel actually
quite nice and loose now! STRONG AND STEADY <3
Me and Becky annoyingly forgot to bring gels, however today we tried dried mango, apricot and dates - and some brown rolls with nut butter and jam :)

Really fun run in Kintessack to start of me and Beckys week of training at Jane and Alan’s!
We ran off in a group of 10 and then split along the way into sub groups - Me, Emily, Matt and Becky did the Hill 99 route at a decent pace! It was also raining and slippy underfoot so I was happy with the session :)
Right hip very tight and a little sore, but this will ease with time -
Pain I can work with!
