Strength and conditioning 42:00 [3]

strength, core and cardio workout. I was planning on going running but when I stepped outside it was windy and drizzly and it did not look fun so I did my workout inside instead

Frisbee 1:00:00 [3]
shoes: Nike Mercurial

Pretty intense practice today--not much throwing, just a lot of sprinting drills, running deep for the disc (pop-out drill), and scrimmaging. And we did a lot of pushups. We did some in the beginning as strength training after our box drill. And after that, if you dropped the disc anytime during practice, you stopped and did five pushups. Thankfully I didn't drop it that much... but the couple drops I had were enough to make my shoulders pretty soreeeee

About an hour and 30 minutes into practice it got really windy and drizzly, and it was starting to get really dark. We had just finished a point in our scrimmage, so we cooled down early and went to eat dinner.

NAOC sprinty sprint

sprints are fun! I felt really fast even though I was actually pretty slow... but I thoroughly enjoyed myself anyway. I'm not broken up over my result, because I could stand to do a lot more running training, and with that I think my speed will increase. And my times on sprints will be better.

Orienteering 3:19:43 [3] 6.5 km (30:44 / km) +80m 28:57 / km

NAOC long.... BLARHH. Definitely the LONG-est I've spent on a course in recent memory. I finished, but I was really unfocused and demoralized after control three, which I spent nearly an hour and a half on (yep. I had no idea what I was doing, and I kept dawdling and wandering around instead of proactively trying to relocate myself), so it was pretty hard to run it through. I was seriously considering dnf-ing in the middle of the course. But as it turned out, it didn't matter either way, because I was overtime so I dnf'ed anyway! :(
