Well I knew it probably wasn't the best idea to run today since my hip was hurting after running yesterday but I figured it would be ok with lots of ice since I know I won't have time to run tomorrow and probably Friday. It was definitely a bad idea to run today - hip was not feeling good at all, especially after I was done running. I'm prescribing myself lots of ice for the next couple of days! Anyway, took this run pretty easy and nice and flat which was good cause I definitely noticed that hills hurt more, and let me tell you, walking up stairs is a struggle right now. Hopefully ice and a couple of days off will do the trick though!

Well a day off of running and some ice worked like a charm for my hip - barely felt it at all except for a bit at the end. It rained pretty hard for about the first 10 minutes of my run so I got soaking wet and was running pretty fast, but then I didn't want to slow down so I ended up doing the whole thing pretty fast. Mile about 5 was not so fun because it was that slight uphill that doesn't really seem like it's that uphill but at the same time feels a lot harder than running on flat. I thought I was just getting really tired but then once I got back on the flat/slightly downhill way home I felt a lot better. It felt nice to do a faster run though since I haven't done any kind of speedwork in a very long time...not that this was speedwork by any definition of the word haha
