Ok I need to start making my weekend gym day Sunday, because there were waaay too many people there today. Increased weight on some stuff though, so that was good!
Deadlifts (135#)/Overhead tricep extension (25#)
Front squats (80#)/Assisted pull-ups (#5)
Curtsy lunges (40#)/Flies (20# per side)
Lat raises (8#)/Incline bench press (22.5# per side)
10 burpees before each set for a total of 50.
Skipped the core today because there were just too many people and I didn't want to wait for mat space.

Back to running again. I felt the gym-going on the uphills, but I definitely think gym before running is the way to go. The sidewalks were finally mostly melted, so there were only a few sketchy spots. Nice day for running, and I felt decent considering how infrequently I've been running lately.

Didn't end up running cause the sidewalks are still very hazardous, it was still very cold, and I didn't end up having time to go home at all before mech design so I didn't get home til like 6:30 again. Decided to at least do some core though, to make up for the lack of running?
Planks (1:30 middle, 1 min each side)
25 crunches
15 side crunches (per side)
15 switching scissors (hold 3 secs)
10 supermans
Plank (1:30 middle, 1 min each side)
15 side plank dips (per side)
15 leg lifts
20 bicycle abs

Didn't have a ton of time at the gym today because I left late and had to be done in time for my meeting, which meant I skipped core at the end.
Deadlifts (125#)/Lat raises (8#)
Back squat (85#)/COP (12.5#)
Dumbbell bench press (30#/side)/Rows (30#)
10 burpees before each set for a total of 40.

Well running was not going to happen today between the snowy sidewalks, cold weather, and the fact that I didn't get home until like 6:30 and it was already dark. So instead I decided to do a fun tabata workout...
4 min of tabata (20 sec on, 10 sec off) per exercise, with 1 min rest between each set:
High knees
Mountain Climbers
Jumping Jacks
Flutter Kicks
Plank Jacks
Jump Lunges
Bicycle abs

Monday Feb 5 #

Boy were my lungs unprepared for this run. I'm not sure if it was because it was so cold, or from being sick, or a combination of the two, but my lungs were dying for the first ~1.5 miles. My legs also were pretty numb by the end...this mid-20's weather is really pushing it for me to still run outside.
