Running 1:00:33 [3] 5.23 mi (11:35 / mi) +104m 10:54 / mi

Fun easy run in the Fells with Dave. I ran with a map and stayed in pretty good contact the whole time. I was planning on doing a few fast paced legs of a red course that was marked on my map, but my hip flexors were cold and tight by the end so I decided to be safe and get warm instead. It was really beautiful despite the slush raining down on us the whole time.

Strength 20:00 [3]

I was planning on going to the gym in the apartment building we're staying at, but our key card wasn't working so... Did some strength in the roomy living room instead! I'm going to try to figure out the key situation later today.

Note

An eight hour bus ride later and I'm in Montreal! Three of my closest high school friends and I are spending three days here. Should be a blast!

Running 20:03 [3] 2.34 mi (8:34 / mi) +3m 8:32 / mi

I was definitely not wearing enough clothing. I came back with very cold legs and belly, and my chest was super red from the wind. Beautiful, clear day though!

Orienteering 54:35 [4] 4.95 km (11:02 / km) +130m 9:45 / km

O-tervals with Alex and Isak! Super fun :) I managed to keep up with them more than I was expecting to be able to. No ankle problems. I used both tape and my ankle brace which seems to do the trick. Also I repeated the word "ankle" to myself over and over again so that I would be careful with my foot placement. The orienteering itself went very well, but I noticed I was doing to much reacting and not enough planning (common Izzy-in-the-woods problem), so I need to work on that. It was weird to be able to run through Lynn Woods in January. Almost no snow on the ground!
I'm also impressed with my per k time because included in the total time are our walks to the next start.

Running warm up/down 4:11 [2] 0.45 mi (9:18 / mi)

All finished before 9:30... I'm normally not even up yet.
