Running 4:45 [2] 0.33 mi (14:19 / mi) +22m 11:52 / mi

I ran for about two minutes and felt my knee getting tighter and tighter until I finally gave up. I walked back to the car in a considerable amount of pain. I think it got tweaked when I went skiing two days ago. It's really frustrating to keep having these irritating injuries that disrupt my training schedule. I used to be the one who was never hurt so idk what changed. It's my left knee of course... My left leg is seriously cursed.

Hiking 23:53 [2] 0.83 mi (28:53 / mi) +110m 20:26 / mi

I checked out a little hiking trail with some serious climb. I had to use my hands multiple times. I was also breathing very heavily and really feeling the altitude (6,000 ft). Uphill didn't bother my knee at all but downhill was hellish. I was supposed to do a long run today and a hill workout tomorrow so I'll combine the two tomorrow and do a long hike in the same area. Yay altitude training. I'm not worried about getting up the mountain but getting down might cause some issues...

Running warm up/down 10:01 [3] 1.11 mi (9:02 / mi) +2m 8:59 / mi

Running 20:00 intensity: (10:00 @3) + (10:00 @4) 2.18 mi (9:11 / mi) +1m 9:10 / mi

5 x 2 min at 4min/k pace, 2 min at 6 min/k pace. I ended up running slower times than this because I was running it on really soft dirt/sand.
I was pretty asthmatic today. I took my inhaler before AND after which is pretty rare.

Running warm up/down 11:31 [3] 1.15 mi (10:01 / mi)

Super tight knee making me nervous...

Ankles. It's getting easier to balance on a pillow.

Running warm up/down 11:15 [2] 1.21 mi (9:18 / mi) +4m 9:13 / mi

Running 20:00 intensity: (10:00 @2) + (10:00 @3) 3.76 km (5:19 / km) +3m 5:18 / km

2 x 5 min at 5 min/k pace, 5 min at 6 min/k pace. This felt okay. If I wasn't adjusting to the altitude it would've felt too easy I think.

Running warm up/down 3:24 [2] 0.34 mi (10:00 / mi) +1m 9:55 / mi

Unhappy calf

Running Drills 6:24 [4] 0.32 mi (20:00 / mi)

These felt super difficult today.

Stretching/Yoga 15:00 [0]

Rolling out my calf... ouch.

Note

I will be in Albuquerque for the next two weeks working on getting into a nice running rhythm and doing some altitude training. Then I'm on my way to BAOC land for the weeks leading up to and including US Champs.

Running 44:24 [3] 4.85 mi (9:09 / mi) +44m 8:54 / mi

My left calf has been suuuuper tight since yesterday, but it hurts more while I'm just walking than when I'm running.
This was only going to be 35 ish minutes but I got lost... It's not like I orienteer or anything.

Orienteering 26:14 [4] 3.94 km (6:39 / km) +26m 6:26 / km

Fast sprint in deserty park area. The navigation was really difficult but I was trying to push the pace and ended up having a hard time reading the map at that speed. So I had some dumb mistakes and it was hot but I'm happy I got some running in before my flight to New Mexico.

Feet and ankles were fine but my left calf is super unhappy right now. I'll roll it out tonight.

Orienteering 2:58:15 [3] 17.24 km (10:20 / km) +141m 9:56 / km

Score O outside of Phoenix. I didn't wear any sort of ankle protection at all and went slowly and focused a lot on my footing. No issues today with my foot or ankle! I'm very happy.

My route is in green and you can see where I accidentally went to "dummy controls".

My legs are tired and I'm very sleepy. But first, a "quick" game of Scrabble and some ice cream.

Update: I won the Scrabble game :) but only because mom let me play traiting which is definitely not a word.
