Plan was to run a 9 mile speed-play but calves cramped up badly so had to cancel. Have been taking ibu-profens for 10 days but didn't today. Need to get some massage and blood going in there..

Rest day from running. Full body strength in the gym with Axel instead. Nice to get on with this again too.

Running intervals 1:05:00 [5] 8.0 mi (8:07 / mi)

10*800m intervals on a grass course with some down and up hills. Ran here some weeks ago, but felt much stronger today. 3 minutes rest between.
Splits:
2.37 (chased by a dog), 34, 31, 29, 30, 29, 27, 25, 24, 19

1,5 mile warm up, 1,5 mile cool down. Felt great today, recovered well between intervals and never really struggled. Fall break (one day) tomorrow!

Running long 1:05:00 [3] 9.0 mi (7:13 / mi)

4,5 miles out to park with a hill, 10 hill repeats then 4,5 miles back to campus. Steady pace. Back on pavement again. Torture for sore calves.

Running intervals 1:10:00 [5] 13.0 km (5:23 / km)

Quarter intervals. 16*400m in 4 sets with increasing pace/decreasing rest.
First 4: 80s with 85s rest between
Second 4: 78s with 70s rest
Third 4: 76s with 55s rest
Last 4: 74s (and a 70 for the 16th) with 40s rest.

3k warmup, 3k warm-down. To/From the park.

Quality workout. Really tough.
