Orienteering race (Minor) 1:09:10 [4] 7.67 km (9:01 / km)

Rough start, but cleaned up nicely toward the end of the run.

#1 I didn't see the spur coming off the creek and assumed that I had gone to the main creek so turned off the track in the direction that I thought was right. Wondered around until I hit the fence and then sorted myself out.

#3 Was on a great line, but saw a control for another course. Instead of trusting the big black x to be a car wreck, went and checked the control number.

#5 Can't remember why I veered left, but the fence saved me.

#6 Was looking for a mound and trying to make the patches of thick green match what was on the map and went a little slowly.

#7 Almost had a huge mistake here. Didn't do a good job with my compass and just took off. When I spotted the track and started paying attention to my compass realized I was about to go to the damn. Corrected nicely though.

Was much cleaner after this even though I ran just past 3 more controls (#12, 13, and 20). On all of them, I was on a good line, but just didn't pick the feature on approach and didn't manage to spot the control until I had gotten a bit past it.

Had a little excitement on #16-17. Got a little closer than I'd like to a brown snake, but he wanted nothing to do with me.

Was a great course by Rob!
