Great day. Started early with Liz from my house. Rode Midland to Red Rocks. East ridge trail, to White Acres (that's a lot easier ride than it used to be!). Section 16 where I got some great technical stuff in and felt pretty good. Hike-a-biked up North side of Section 16....Liz was amazed at the difficulty but she did great. took a break at top to regain energy & take in view, then went down Palmer (AWESOME!!), then up High Drive-another long climb. We kept up a good pace up that and sang along the way. Hit Cap'n Jacks (wahoo!!!), the Chutes, Stratton Meadows and Patty Cake all the way back home. Fantastic day. I got rutted out on my last 10 feet of single track for the day and wrecked...but I just scraped up my knee. Nothing bad.

Climbed Crags route of Pikes with James. We had a quick frustrating moment which made him mad the rest of the way....talked about it all midway and didn't end up great....just ended up going to 12,800 feet because he needed to get back for studying. A crumby day for what was a beautiful day for a gorgeous hike.

Ran down. Stopped a few times before dropping below treeline to appreciate the gorgeous sunset. ran back in the dark and later with headlamp. I feel like my "night vision" is better than it used to be. I suppose my confidence in my night vision is the thing that changed.

I was glad to be up there....just disappointed with how it turned out between J & I.

Ran and hiked @ Palmer park over lunch hour. When it hurt head too bad I walked, then run again, then walk etc. pretty day, I just felt poopy.
