Run (Goat Peak w/J) 4:14:51 [3] **** 9.4 mi (27:07 / mi) +2896ft 20:59 / mi

Hike from Lot to GOAT mtn Peak. 12# pack. Via old overgrown miner trails for part of way, and Bushwack the rest of the way, then follow "trail#2" down to road for a loop. J & I had a race from "shamalama falls" to "turkey jxn." -if he caught me I would owe him 30 lunges. I was worried since I was breaking trail that he'd make short work of catching me. I saw him several times over my shoulder, but he never caught me. Then when I doubled back to get him, he "tagged" me as if he caught me. I'll humor the penalty and do my lunges cause it will make me stronger.

Then we hiked together. That first Bushwack to turkey jxn was the worst, but the last half mile summit push wasn't much less...lots of bushwacking practice and the last long ridge was all rock climbing+bushwacking. Gorgeous summit! Great views and stunning cliffs. Cant believe this is our back yard!

Warmed up in grassy field.

Ran across property to another grassy field where there's a grassy "track" of unknown length. I did half arounds each sprint. Later when I was running it to cool down, it was about 700 meters around.

Jogged back.

Loop Run with Quail Lake loop. Recovery Run for yesterday's bike. Soleus are super sore for run. Either because of the ride yesterday or the shoes today (since I haven't worn my Altra's in a while).

60+ degrees today! It was awesome! And it was sunny!

Ride to meet with Hannah(7miles). Then, ride to meet J(2miles). And I was late for both meetings so had to push. I was hungry & kinda tired, but it was fun to "have" to push so I would be less late. It was that extra push I needed to dig.

Monday Morning Treadmill Shakeout Run. Legs are sore from Saturday's weights, but I just got right into the run. Toward the end I sped the speed up to 8 for the last few 10th of miles.
