Finally getting out to do something after too many days without exercise. My knee/leg has been a bit bothersome for a few days and is not better after my walk today.
I´ll get through this somehow - the question is if my present problems are caused by too much (or the wrong kind of) exercise or too little?
Weather has been much milder for a couple of days and is now back to temps above zero. Rainy and grey doesn´t help with motivation either…
Listened to episodes 18-20 of The Svenska Ord Story.
Nothing today. -14C in the morning, around -8 later in the day.
Body a bit tired after yesterday - left leg/knee a bit sore but not as bad as I had feared. I hope it´s smart to take it a bit easy today.
Kept busy by baking the bread for our traditional Adventsfika and also Movie Night with Birgit. We went to see 'A Star is Born' with Lady Gaga.
Hike (long w backpack)4:40:00 14.31 km (19:34 / km) +316m17:38 / km ahr:97 max:139 weight:80.4kg
A long hike from Sifferbo to Djurmo Klack (high point for some nice views) and then on to Solsbodarna before turning back to the car(s).
Was invited to go by Bengt H - joining a great group of around 30 people in different shapes and forms. I´d guess they are all retired folks with maybe the odd one not having quite reached this mature age. They´ve made this a regular thing even if this may have been the longest hike they´ve made. Hopefully I can join them for more.
Perfect weather, quite chilly with -9C at home in the morning and not notably warmer during the day. Sun was out and the skies were blue so very nice in the open spots and for some of the stops we made.
Now I´ll just have to wait and see if this has affected my knee. Time is an estimate - we were out for 5:23 but I´ve subtracted the parts that showed zone zero on my pulse watch + some change to get even numbers.
