Terrain is nice - course was well set - horrible day out there for me though and I now have a thorough hatred of shallow gullies.

Oh and its official HPD claims the first toenail :( I had it hold out for so long!

Now I am going by memory but my TBT is going to be hilarious!

1,2 nice, 3 - shallow gully SIGH , 4,5 nice - 6 hunt hunt hunt wrong spot graze like the farmers cow hunt hunt, oh look theres Paul and he just glides past so majestically - I hate you - I swear I was just over there (trace confirms I was not).

Ok right around the hill to 7... lands at 8 oh no worries its only like 75m away... 10 minutes later finds point after significant hunting got within 10m of it :( orienteering si such hide and seek controls some times :(

8 - owned that, 9 reasonable, 10 took me some time and I was a bit indecisive, was going to go norther fence but decided to go southern fence last minute... dont know if that was good choice or not. Kinda expected the control to be further down - but saw Andre coming up and turned my head to talk to him seeing the point would have been close on first approach yet again - sigh. (shallow gully my ass)...

11 straight at it and I think I did this one ok, took some hunting on the point bit hit the trail and realised too far then turned around and once I translated rocks onto the map I found the gully...

12 similar to 11 got into the rough location but then needed to use rocks to figure out where the hell I was once I did that the point appeared.

13 I walked, on bearingish and pace counted - control was 100% where I expected - funny that, slower is faster.

14 - typically I travel straight line - for this leg CBF massively used the fence to the east of 13 and followed it around up over hills and then into familiar territory. Once at the appropriate location cut in and landed on 14 pretty easily. Only a tiny bit of confusion with an overshoot but pretty flush.

15 SHALLOW FUCKING GULLY..!!?!?!1111ONE - after some hunting found the point

16 no worries and happy with water but was getting desperate for sugar by then. 17 was a tad guestimate walking but hit it nicely , 18 I knew where it was and moved quickly too it.

19 ... SFG ... on the way detoured into another courses water drop on the corner of farmland - water in but didn't make me feel any better. surprisingly found this point within a reasonable time frame once I got up the hill.

Was feeling really quite over it now - 20 was easy though and of course 21 had to be another SFG... but found it ok - was going to put some effort in for finish but toenails where really hurting and I was stuffed so pretty casual finish.

Reasonable - but eh - marginally faster this year over the same territory so i will that that as an upside :P ?! Sorry for keeping Paul waiting an hr to drive me home - that what you get for giving a lift to the slowest person, a long wait and then a lot of talk about tbt and SFG. :P
