First outing for the new year - determined to make it a better year than last on an exercise front.

Wil joined me but I was always going to be slow. Right ankle slowed me a bit after a vicious roll I did on it last week but its a lame excuse fitness and power were main issues. I would love to blame the heat but my pace didn't make it too much fo an issue... more consistency will rectify this problem.

The course was enjoyable - I do like this area though. Clearable at about 8-8.5km I think. Will feels he could do it in 42-43mins but I slowed him for half the course (told him to go run had for last 20 and get something out of it) and our route wasn't ideal.

Still good way to open the exercise books for the year. going to get back down into the low 5mins/km
